hi I had a 13 speed installed in my truck it shifts fine but when you push the range button down to the low side there is a small delay before it goes in to the low side there is no grinding just a 5 second delay as if it waiting on air

Mine can be slow. There's a 5/32" line conversion that makes sense to speed up range and splitter time. I replaced my lines with the 1/8" factory. Like to be able to go to parts store for common fittings and line. Maybe someone tightened down those compression fitting too much and blocked some of the air.

Check your filter and air Inlet on back of Trans, pull the cap off and there's a filter In there that needs to be cleaned. I usually fill with a little atf and put cap back on and cycle a few times. This filter housing is also a regulator that cuts air down to 60psi to operate the tranny, that's probably the whole issue.

will try this today it seems like an air issue the guy I got the trans from had it rebuilt and ran it for 3 months and he found a deal on an 18 speed so that's how I got the 13 its been sitting in the corner of the shop around 2 months

well like the other post mentioned or there could be some grease leaking in past the o-ring in the splitter letting it drag a little more than usual.
