Heh...I see the logic there. Don't know that I agree with it, but if I had come over it would've been a mixed bag. Whoever it was, they were in a tiny sports car. But I merge slowly, so it's possible that it would've resulted in just the passenger side being eaten...

There's a theory...the airline industry's method of telling passengers to cover their head and duck down in a crash has a conspiracy behind it. It's said that position is actually meant to kill you by snapping your neck against the seat in front of you.

...don't know that i'd buy into that but all the same. It's one of those things that wouldn't really surprise me either.
