I try to average about $1.50/mi and only take lighter loads under 30,000 lbs to help my dad save on fuel/repairs/tire changes. We work so much with them, that they consider us a "core carrier" now, which lets me see loads 2 days before others see them on the board. It's been working out great and I have a wonderful relationship with a girl in their Savannah office, who gets me all of my loads. But I sometimes wonder if my roughly $1.50 average on van loads is a good deal or I should be looking elsewhere.

Your truck newer than ten years? Solo or team ?

 

No, the truck is a 2000, solo driver. Just wondering, what difference does it make if it's newer or older? Also, since it's older, he doesn't go into CA due to some regulation. I believe he's no longer compliant there, unless he gets some emissions attachment or something of that nature.

Thanks so much for this awesome tip! I just emailed a friend who works for Amazon. Hopefully he can point me in the right direction of whom to contact, but so far, he said they mostly work with larger trucking companies
