I bought 40 of them on eBay for $10 a piece and rewired them and put a plug on them and sold them for $40 a piece about 8 years ago I only kept a couple for myself
I just discovered a microphone I never heard of before and I suspect it's straight off the boat from China at a $59 price point. It looks like it is desperately trying to copy the styling of the Shure 577b. But if you look inside and see the cheap Chinese switch mechanism and the cheap Chinese microphone element the differences become obvious.
I wouldn't be surprised if it sounds better than the shure 577 B.. I can definitely tell it's nowhere near as durable as the Shure Mike
They are built really nicely and they're heavy duty but they don't have the frequency response that I'm looking for
I have an old RK56 that i had a new ptt put in and now the radio audio is half volume than before. It also cuts in and out. Im about ready to send it to Bobs for an overhaul.
