Does anyone have the "scoop" on New Braunfels (6016)?

When I came on board the original plan was to transfer there once I get my year in. But, now I'm not so sure.

I've heard that they have a TON of senior drivers and that it would take a new guy, like me, a significant amount of time to get on a program there. Is that true?

When I first started, I was only on the "extra board" for about a month before I got on a 5/2-5/3. But our GTM likes to get drivers on programs as soon as possible. I've heard that's not necessarily the case at other DCs.

Bottom line; what are the pros/cons of 6016?

Thanks in advance for your responses!

Oh, okay, that makes sense. I guess I either haven't visited one of those, or just haven't been paying attention! :)

What you heard is correct. Lots of senior drives. They do have lots of valley runs but it's all about "timing". I have been over there enough times to see what goes on. It is more of the older Wal~mart ways as far as programs and truck assignments.

About a month ago I joined a closed Facebook group called "Walmart driver". There's over 700 members in the group. Lots of talk about problems and issues with our offices and DC's. You all should join it. Be kept in the know about an upcoming BLUE FLU.

I did my road test on October 17 in LaGrange GA. As of October 28 it finally reads "Eligible for hire" But the other site still reads "Final interview"

your not going to solve anything on Facebook. You have real issues take them up the ladder. There is not much we are going to change regardless , it's a job we have to play by their rules until we decide to leave. But if you want to join one join Walmart Transportation, it shares the good things done by the drivers and community stuff.

I can tell you that my husband's status changed to Post Offer Checks Completed which we thought that meant everything had been done. However, later his current employer was contacted so I think this status change was a little premature?? I think it's just taking awhile to get all the paperwork returned. From what I've read, employers have 30 days to return the paperwork.
