@MidWest_MacDaddy call the breakdown no.,and speak to Volvo, they should be able to tell you what the codes are.

And thanks for the concern, just have a few things that need ironing out.

Lack of miles. Poor planning. Poor communication.

Example: Let's say you have a run that picked up in GA. Delivers 240 miles from the Richmond yard and you'll be sitting 17 hours to deliver. You ask to drop it at the yard because you have 7 hours still to run for the day, your miles for the pay period are horrible, and you want to keep running. You get told yes, only to be given a load that's only 350 miles (110 more miles) up into traffic heck, And still will be sitting about 13 hours.

Or you come off home time only to be sitting 2 days on a 600 - 700 mile run. Or maybe an extra day because they say there's no loads because they don't want to bt you 65 miles back to the yard.

Perhaps it's still a case of growing pains. Or recalls or the election or just because. I get why folks are not happy right now. Yeah, it's trucking, but it's how make our $$ and if we ain't making it, why stay?

Every call to breakdown costs the company $$. Just an FYI.

Good, they can pay it,considering there not paying me right now,but on a serious note don't want to bring the thread down, but @RebelChick hit the nail on the head.

But I've been given the channels I should go thru, sitting on the yard will see what tomorrow brings.

Whew! Sort of tight blind side back in the dark. I try to avoid those as much as possible! Felt a bit sheepish because I was having a bit of trouble, but...a big thank you to the old school driver who helped me out. Don't know him and he's not one of ours.

I hope those channels work for you. I've done the whole go up the chain thing. In the short term, it gets better, but then it seems to go right back.

However, the good outweighs the bad here, and the things that this company has done for me when I've needed something is what keeps me here.

There's your sparkling ray of sunshine from RC for today!!! :biggrin_25525:
