Hey guys, yes I'm on the road! They have us running fedex loads from Indianapolis to Baltimore. I'm pretty pissed off because I'm supposed to be pulling flatbed... They said if we run this as a team for two weeks they guarantee we will be home for xmas. Also they said I'll get my truck after two weeks because we are pulling a lot of miles. I'm driving 550ish miles everyday. I'm starting to get used to it. Hopefully we'll get at least a few flatbed loads.
holy ####! I think I knew that guy, he was a black dude that was making waves about it and pissing off a lot of people. If it was the same guy, he hired on a few weeks before I left, he was making lots of waves.
This time of year untl xmas most of the freight is tied up in retail while flatbed freight used in industry and manufacturing is winding down until the new year. Just enjoy the milk runs. Last year WE had a bunch of us flatbed drivers working yards and getting paid hourly plus a bonus at fedex and Amazon. There were some very nice paychecks out of that, easy work too with very friendly management.
yep, I knew him, and he was pissing off everyone even without the crossdressing. Convict express claims another victim I guess
Man,the company has really gone to s*****r since I quit back in April. The fact that they're doing hair follicle testing now speaks volumes(when I was there it was still the old pee in the cup routine). Unfortunately someone learned the hard way it's all fun and games until you cross the wrong person. @Phoenix FIRE 33 :Good luck, keep your nose and CDL clean-and keep a 'breakdown kit" in your truck-you never know when you might need it!
Did you hear back in april that the guy in charge of flatbed load securement classes got canned for failing a drug test? There were several DMs that got surprise drug tests as well and fired.
Doesn't surprise me there. That company had some "characters".lol I worked in the van division though and we had issues of our own!lol
