From what I seen, since being on freedom board if you live in the west (CA), because the good freight comes out of Cali to northwest and some good loads out of WA,OR but go to Ut or MT. However, getting back to Cali is usually low rates and more than likely heavy, so if you don't mind coming west for a month or so then going home freedom would work. I have heard that containers are better out east then the freedom board and I can say from looking at some of those loads on the board on the east and Midwest they sounds about right as it pertains to containers being better out east. Just my opinion

We are all making about the same here from 1300 to 2k net a week. I've had several 2k weeks. All I do is east and midwest.

Can anybody tell me what the requirements are for getting on the Freedom Board? I was told in orientation AND from my recruiter at Interstate that if you didn't have 6 months experience with self dispatch, you only had to be dispatched by Interstate for 30 days. During those 30 days if you kept a clean record with no service failures, you could be released to the Freedom Board. But when my 30 days were up, the song changed.

6 months to Freedom board if no board experience. It used to be 30 days, but changed when to many guys over booked themselves. I came from Landstar and went straight to the board.
