So finished school and took my test on Friday 3/31. Got my paperwork for completion of driving test. Went straight to DMV here in Colorado. It was packed. Waited for over an hour. Got up to the clerk and after some calling around found out that my test hadn't been entered into the DMV system. Waited over the weekend and called this morning. Was told still not in the system. How will this effect me for my first day of orientation tomorrow morning? I am assuming I need my CDL license by then. I am hearing its take 3-5 days to have the test entered into the DMV system. What would you do or say to the company you are starting with in this situation?
Post pone appointment for orientation until a week or two later. You can always do that. Remember that.
Can't afford not to. You have to get everything in order. If you don't you'll just be sent home and made to pay the bus fare.
You have to have the CDL license before you can move forward. Don't rush it just a few more days. Let the company know what is going on. It's not in your control. It's the DMV and try not to become frustrated it won't help. We know how it is when your in a financial bind. Hopefully it works out soon
You don't have a choice. If it takes a few days to get entered into the system reschedule for next weeks orientation. You'll need to call the company otherwise you will not be eligible for employment 90 days with that employer.
Finally got ahold of someone on the phone that figured out what was up. Now waiting to take my pic at the DMV for my class a CDL. Whew. Thanks for all of your inputs.
