Freeze must be for trainees. They called me 3 times this week for an application I submitted in April (I turned down the job offer).

Glad to hear there are some people on here with the same affinity for facial hair as me.

    Full beard forever.

Well, feeling that way can actually be a good thing. You know, the whole Butterfly in the Stomach thing.... Anyway, nothing to be nervous about I'd guess. I was a bit nervous about going to Orientation in Charlotte just before I leased onto to them, but found out very quickly nothing to be nervous about. Folks I've dealt with have all been straight as stick with answers and solutions when necessary. In my own experience here, they want you to succeed, safely, as much as you want you to succeed. Point is, they'll help in every way possible. Of course, part of their willing attitude also depends on yours as well. Wecome aboard.

A DBL is Driver Business Leader.... now, I can't speak to their position with company drivers, but I have a DBL as an I.C., and I can tell you he's not my boss but rather the leader of the board I'm on which consists of him and three others who help the 40 or so drivers on my board. SO, the long and short is my DBL and board team are my Support Operation. For Company Drivers this may be different.

for what its worth, orientation this week in Atlanta with 14 drivers and all are veteran drivers, no students/trainees. There is no talk of a hiring freeze down here
though choices are limited. As with Crete, seems all the new hires are being put on the National fleet (just myself going to a dedicated account and a former Schneider O/O getting onto the Savanah container fleet).

Recieved an email today from Schneider. My qualifications are not what they are looking for at this time, but they will stay in touch with me if something becomes available. I do believe that they are looking or experienced drivers at this time.......but, there's always tomorrow. A new day, brings new possibilities.:yes2557:

Put in an application about Oct. 1. Didn't get the call, so I e-mailed the recruiter we had talked with. He gave me a number to call.

Was getting ready for a wedding, and then the honeymoon, and he said to just call when we got back. Called yesterday and they said no joy, even though we're wanting to go team and are walking in saying we'll be a team.

Oh well. Keep putting one foot in front of the other.
