What are the commissions of brokerage companies?

    I am making a market research of trucking industry and currently need some precise information about the commissions applicable by the brokers, including traditional brokerage companies and online brokers.

    i heard on the radio show (it was most likely KR show) that the national average is 15 %.

    Depending on territory & and equipment type, profit margins range from 15%-50%. In some cases however, there are larger strategic goals at hand which could mean some of the larger players simply keep freight in-house and running it at a loss.

    Brokerages shoot for between 15-20% on truckload freight.

    1200 mile load after hours girl mistakenly told me the load pays $2700 after I asked what is the best she can do? When the broker came in next day she told me $2000. Next day broker told me $1900 so I got him to $2k and took it. 25% for broker...
