Do what's needed to defend yourself. Don't tell the world you are packing.

Maybe that's the only one that's DESIGNED to splinter but I will bet you a coffee there are others. 7.62x39 Zombie Max by Hornady is one

Ok I thought we were talking relative conceal carry guns for trucks. Show me a gun that would actually be practical for conceal carry for a truck driver that uses a 7.62x39 round? And an AR style pistol is not practical for conceal carry.

Also, don't get too excited over hornadys zombie Max round, it's just a rebranded critical defense round with a red tip. Nothing special. My wife's 9mm uses zombie Max in her pistol

Matter of fact here's a ballistic gel test with these same rounds. I don't see much splintering.

The splintering (actually called fragmenting, i used the wrong word) was first brought up by me in reference to hunting. Who hunts with a conceal carry handgun?

I do, as a last line of defense because we have coyotes and any other number of bad #### in the sticks. Sides this thread was about conceal carry, not hunting

The whole gun thing would be a lot easier to deal with if people simply abided by the part of the 2nd Amendment that says "the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed". Seems pretty simply to me. I should be able to carry what I want, when I when, where I want, in my concealed carry holster, on my hip, or laying on the seat next to me. And you should too. All of these laws, no matter how one frames them, are infringing. Pure and simple. It is patently ridiculous to tell you that you may not possess a gun because of the speculation that I might do something wrong with mine.

I was never talking about CC rounds. Someone said you're not allowed to posses HP rounds. I simply asked the question, "You guys aren't allowed to carry HP? How do you get your hunting ammo home from the store?"

Do I sound excited to you? I agree it's a girls round.

    You don't?

So to answer your original question about who uses 7.62x39 for a cc pistol, it would seem you and your wife do.
