Thanks for clearing that up. Although I have to say, in this company's defense, not many carriers are hiring fractions of drivers nowadays. I can see the reasoning behind hiring a whole driver, but to take on the responsibility of hiring just 1/4 of a driver...well no wonder it's tough to keep good drivers!

That's because MOST new drivers aren't actually truck drivers. Their steering wheel attendants, that's what makes the 1/4....

    48Packard and Roberts450 Thank this.

Yep....takes 4 of "today's" big truck trucking school graduates, to equal one full driver. LOL!

While i do sympathize with any driver getting screwed over by blatantly cruel and inconsiderate transport companies i also have to ask why a driver would knowingly sign a contract for a lease knowing full well the conditions of pay and the fees involved as the old saying goes "Always read the fine print" and if you can''t be bothered get a professional contract lawyer that will even if you've got to pay him a few 100 bucks it'll be well worth it.

That's what the lease deal is about; the driver pays for everything. It's a highly profitable program for trucking companies.
