A lot still go off duty like you say. That's because they are greedy.

That's sometimes hard to do in my area. I'm usually not at vendors, stores, or DC very long. I could save maybe 15-20min by logging off at store but not worth it cause they are strict on our logs here. Can't even get our paperwork without being on duty

No! It's not greedy to want to get paid what your promised. In our area we get paid less for harder work.
    Example of a day-
Start at 8am and first store is 110 miles away on the north side of Chicago. Takes you 4 hours to get there. Then because our area is kingpin locks, you have to get someone to swap locks from mt to loaded trl. You ring bell, nobody answers. You try calling on the phone but nobody picks up. Then you walk all the way around the store, go in and find the people standing in a group just talking and ignoring the bell. You finally get a manager to swap locks. You tell him you rang the bell several times and no one responded. He says "yea they ignore it like background noise". You finally leave to go to a vender 25 miles away takes you an hour to get there. Wait in line of trucks at the entrance to get to the shipping dept and they take your phone # to call you when they have a door for you. But you can't wait on the property because they are too busy and tell you to drive around the block and wait there. You wait 2 hours and they finally call you. You drive back wait in line to get in again, get in your door and wait another 2 hours to get loaded. Then you drive to center point about 48 miles, takes you 2 - 3 hours. Now you only have about 2 hours left on your 14 and only driven a little over 200 miles.
Your working 14 hour days with all the stress of stop and go traffic. No drop and hooks at stores because of kingpin locks. And when we want a decent wage, you call us greedy.

    No thank you. LOL.
I think Los Angeles is the worst followed by New York area, then Chicago.
I wouldn't drive in either of the first two places. I drive in chicago under protest.
(fans of a certain radio show would know that last quote) Hit him with the hien.
