That is just it...they want a lot of senior drivers to leave. Then they can hire new, lower paid drivers.
So, All you ladies out there... Feel comfort in knowing that some dude is watching your every move as you undress in the cab... His eyes are fastened in soulful lust as he sets the 'Auto Focus' to certain bodily areas... He's sitting at his desk just outside of east San Diego working the night shift, most of the others in his office are gone for the night.... He makes himself a bit more comfortable as he watches your unclad body get some stretch for the nights' rest.... All this forced indignancy in the name of company profits and "safety". You gals are being purposely kept in the dark about this but all you have to do is bring up the harassment word (along with an intended meeting with your local chapter of the ACLU, easily found online) in a written and certified letter to Human Resources and guess what? Bye Bye cameras! Looks like "you being recorded for your own protection" means nothing if company profits can be hampered by a serious harassment lawsuit.
One more scenario... To all you drivers that are dooods... So, after a lengthy day of traffic, you decide to enjoy the exhilaration of 'freeballin it' in the privacy of your own cab. Maybe even a jumping jack or two while your junk finally gets some freedom of its own for the day. Perhaps even a lingering grab just because....and maybe even a dry dock or two... Now picture that big hairy guy back in the observation monitor room in east San Diego with a rainbow tattooed to the small of his back. He drives a convertible red Miata to work. He has that inward facing dash cam on you... and what he sees, he wants....... real bad. He's slobbering and grunting in lustful fantasies while you apply Baby Powder to your doo dads. You finally drift off to sleep while Chester drifts some thing off of his own. Abolish those cameras now, people. They are most definitely not there for you safety. And a harassment lawsuit is very easily filed. Get em out... all of em... now!
If you're doing that in one of our trucks, you have your curtains open so the public can see you also! Close the curtains, if some gremlin keeps your camera on, the curtains will have it blocked.
