Been using the ELD a week now

I've got a local dedicated route that takes if you're lucky around 11 to 12 hours a day. Been working 5 to 6 days a week 70 hours a week for the last 9 months. Been making really good money. And sleeping at home 95% of the time.

Been using the ELD for a week now. And I just have to say I am super pumped about making 30% less money while having to sleep in an old dirty small truck the majority of the time throughout the week even when I'm an hour or two away from home whenever a small delay occurs. Good job trucking industry. Good job.

 

So you always logged illegal and didn’t care one bit about any laws before the ELD?

If you don't crash and it prevents you from bitc*ing about it....then yes
I think eld is unnecessary as well, but we are well beyond the point of dodging it. Have to make do with what our political genius overlords know what's best for us at this point.

 

Lol yeah I know man I'm definitely #####ing about it. Might as well just go back to only making $600 a week while delivering Donuts in a box truck for 40 hours a week

 

If you are truthful in working 11 to 12 how is being legal making you run less? That is well within the hos.
