I was just not happy driving, the money was ok with making around $50k for the final 2 years but wasnt worth it. It just wasnt the lifestyle for me especially with little kids. My youngest is now 18 months and I get to watch her grow up which I missed with the first 2. Just trying to figure out what I want right now, I know I want to find something to do at nights, dont have to work but want to.

If you want a truck with a manual transmission, can you still one?

Think depends where you are, before I quit driving one of the guys who went o/o was told he could only get an auto being in California.

That was for a brand new truck with swift, I'm sure you can buy whatever you want elsewhere

    Evomalo Thanks this.

All the newer trucks are auto and have CMS ... Company or O/O. Manual trucks are becoming rare in the fleet.

Is that the system that beeps when you get too close to another vehicle and also has the auto brake feature? I remember driving a truck with that and just a 4 wheeler cutting me off triggered it and the camera. I had to argue with safety a couple times from these videos and my driver manager had to argue for me too. Seems to them you can avoid being cut off.....

Yes it is.. a friend that drives for another company has it on their trucks and he says a shadow from an overpass with even set it off. Drives him nuts.
