Sort of. For each state i go to i highlight the cities i go to. If i find a really nice route i also highlight it whether its scenic or just convenient. I dont always keep up with it but i try and you can tell my atlas is well used. There's tape on the binding now and although i have two new ones this one contains all my markings and highlighted routes and cities.

To wit, Maryland is known by some as "Little America" meaning everything that America has with the exception for Diamonds etc are present in some form in Maryland.
I think much of what it was has been buried or gentrified by now I fear or simply paved over by something. Long ago you had about a certain amount of farms etc between Baltimore and DC Metros proper. All of that has become one giant megacity if such a word could be used.
By the same token running Jersey through certain two lane roads to bypass the big road tolls and around two particular low clearance bridges near Trenton and so forth it becomes possible to get into New England by way of either the Newburgh, Zee or one of two other possible crossings of the Hudson at a low or no cost excepting horsepower to get out of that valley.
