Couldn't you get fire for minor things at any trucking job being new and not knowing what your really doing?
There are no short cuts to a good gig. You can get local at 40 to 60k pretty early in your career, but your not making top bank unless your doing what most nobody else wants to. Think logically. If it was so awesome, top kids would have the runs, not new blood
I am thinking logical. Lol sounds like most people don't want to do this jobs. So if pretty logical to think that you could get paid more than 60k doing this.
Yeah you probably could, but if you cant hack it or you get popped for a minor ding... end your career quick. Lots of people say they are not afraid of hard work. If thats the case go foodie. Do beverge delivery, the dollar account is not the place to cut your teeth imo
Thats surpising, many food service companies take new drivers and even non drivers. Start as a rider/helper and move to the bouncy seat. Luck to ya, but be careful chasing big money, usally comes with big strings...
Yes. I'm home daily and every weekend. I never break a sweat and I'm on track to clear $80K this year. There are opportunities for overtime but I enjoy my time at home, so I could probably swing $100K if I worked my clock a little harder. For the record, I've only been driving for a little less than 2 years.
Whoever told you that fantasy of 6am to 2 PM is a stone cold liar. Pick a DG near you and ask when their next truck is. They will know the day but not necessarily the time. Shoot drive around a decent amount and you will see them. Watching one right now as I D/H in Illinois.
