Considering the last post in this thread was from MAY of this year, probably not relevant info any longer.

it seems to me that this is all that is left, i had a good job but got laid off,now what?this is what i won't to do,i know its slow it slow every where but the fact remains that commodities will move one way or the other. if they don't we might as well go back to stone age. now of course i haven't got out there yet and i 'm not seeing this with my eyes but i read all these post, yes its depressing but i need 2 get a job/career. just my 2cents don't mean 2 offend any one

That's who it was directed to. I was using it to back up your statement. Should have made that clear! :yes2557:

It's definitely ugly out there, and in a lot of areas, there don't seem to be too many options left. Read the threads, the more current the better, and make your choice based on your needs. Ask questions too. Things will pick up at some point, but everyone is just guessing as to when.

With the way things are right now, you definitely want to be looking at current threads. There have been so many things changing in this biz, that unless the last posts are within the last couple of weeks, it could be old info.

No offense taken . But you have to realize there are a lot less commodities being moved . People have less money , are buying less , and less gets moved . There is no security in trucking . Last year an average of 1,100 carriers went bankrupt each quarter . http://www.allbusiness.com/company-activities-management/financial-performance/11577245-1.html . You people just can't seem to grasp that . Jobs that are even halfway decent will go to experienced drivers .
