ECM has nothing to do with rpm:speed at a given gear. http://www.eaton.com/ecm/groups/public/@pub/@eaton/@roadranger/documents/content/ct_062746.swf looks like sub-3.0:1 rears, not good at all for pulling any kind of hill.
most transmissions are .73 or .74 in top gear, unless you are running something special which you aren't.
Yeah, I'm pretty bummed that they're foolish enough to buy Internationals again. I rarely have problems with my Mack. I wonder if the Cummins in the Internationals even pull as well as the Mack's MP8s.
It depends on what size engine they get. The international 9200 eagle had the 410 hp Cummins and they did okay, but not as good as mack engine
If the entire fleet was so crappy I must question why the entire fleet has not quit as a single body at once.
Because there is more to a company than the equipment. They pay well and are flexible with home time. That's why I stay.
ah...so they took you out of the Mack and put you in an International, as well? I ran into a guy from AZ yesterday, in Markham, that said his whole rear end ended up smoking. They towed it to a dealership, said it'd take 3 weeks to get it fixed. So he flew home, then flew back to truck after 2 weeks of sitting in the hotel. I know all about sitting in a hotel...after day 4, it really starts to SUCK! haha
