    The truck's not stuck...the driver's delivering a bridge...

The radio station that I was listening to on the way home from work said that it was still stuck there at 3:45 pm. So it seems that it took a lot longer to get it out than previously thought.

Not sure if his drivers atlas would even let him know about this bridge.
The only sign I could see using google street view is right on the turn onto that street. If he was making a right onto high school road there is almost no way he could have seen the sign before getting to the bridge, it faces away from that right turn.
I can't post a link to it as I don't have enough posts, but search on google maps for:
High School Rd and kentucky ave, Indianapolis, Marion, Indiana 46224
You can do the street view from the intersection then head north, pretty nasty looking area to me.

Where was he planning to go? I looked at the google maps, there's nothing but a residential area north of that bridge. There is some kind of warehouse further up north of that road, but it has a driveway dumping out on Kentucky.

I think Crete was relying too much on that Tom Tom if you ask me.

The low clearance in this case is on a city street...High School Road. Since High School Road is not a designated US Route/State Route/County road it would not be listed in the low clearance info. The lesson here is don't go trekking off onto non-designated roads unless you're familiar with the road.
