    hello,
i am having severe issues with my detroit 14L. DDL code is Soot level most severe level. After Forced regen starts it would get to about 450 deg DPF inlet , and 460 outlet. engine temp 185. doser valve never comes on, engine shutdowns. I installed a brand new DPF filter, Temp, and pressure sensors. still same issue.
one thing I noticed my EGR Delta pressure is always at 0?
my EGR does work, i see at 99% when engine running.
Another thing that might be related is in DDl i click to EGR delta pressure sensor calibration. this fails it says
    "Calibration failed, sensor failed.
when i go to information menu in DDL and find EGR Delta Pressure- Description is: Position of FMU, see image

Obviously your not reaching the temperatures required for a successful regeneration and normally step one would be supplying fuel to you fuel doser valve, their is a fuel intake module that allows this process to occur. My only question at this point is when you changed the DPF, did you "reset" the maintenance values for servicing the dpf. This reset allows a regeneration cycle to be performed immediately after repair and hopefully before you start chasing this rabbit down the hole, thanks.

thank you for the reply. Yes i reset the maintenance hour counter and input new DPF serial number. i did purge the doser valve, and see that it is working.

I'm confused about the word "purged" and I want to be clear about the fuel doser and NOT the def doser. You actually removed the fuel doser and performed a operational test and verified a good spray like smoke pattern with your own eyes and not what the test result concluded?

My next question would also be that while you replaced the dpf, did you clean the DOC?

In regards to your EGR delta pressure code, this needs to be addressed also. The tubing or piping (venturi) could very well be clogged up preventing any type of reading and if you had an egr cooler leak the sensor could very well be damaged.

So this is 2009 1st Gen aftertretmaaft. No DEF system . Yes I am talking about doser valve. In DDL you can go to option then select purge doser valve. I performed it and success full passed.

Again just trying to cover a few bases here, all engine related performance codes need to be cleared prior to regen and all prerequisites met for regeneration operation, thanks.

The only fault code is the one for soot level at most severe. No other codes. I'm just asking about the EGR because I tried to calibrate the EGR under options . It could not complete the process because what I posted on my original thread
