Some of us find if we look hard enough we can find a job we like that ALSO allows us to have a pet while we are gone for so long. Not EVERY driver can or should have a pet. And not EVERY pet is suitable. I've done it with and without a pet and having a pet along it's MUCH easier for me to stay relaxed & rested and happy longer away from home than without a pet. I promise my truck, when I had a pet in it, was far cleaner than my house where I was barely home long enough to get clothes washed, bills paid, grass cut, and get back on the road, not to mention space to hold more junk until I could decide what to do with it. I see nothing wrong with any company's pet policy or no-pet policy. For many people it's no issue. For some people the make and model of the truck they drive is a thousand times more important. That's why adults make choices, or they used to.
I agree, this industry already has too many poo-flinging monkeys working in it. I wouldn't want them in my zipcode.
