Ac not blowing cold in front but bunk is ice cold

    2013 Pete 388 ac is blowing hot in front but the bunk is ice cold so I don’t think I need a recharge. Any ideas?

    Heater door stuck open maybe.. I’d try to see if it blows really cold before engine warms up or temporary shut off heater hoses to the front heater core and check to see if it blows cold

    Had a cascadia do that. Was a loose connector under the Dash. Wires would get hot. They never fixed it

    If you have good air flow then suspect no refrigerant flow through evaporator. Replace orifice tube or expansion valve.

    If low or no airflow dirt blocked evaporator is common. The filters are very course and do not catch fine dust particles cling to it. Best to remove to thoroughly clean.

    I had read a couple places about the expansion valve. Do you know if that is an easy... I can do myself fix?

    You do need to recover and recharge the system to replace the part. Plus you should change the dryer if the system is open. If you dont have recovery equipment just have the shop do it.
