Get a can of brake cleaner and clean the area up and then run it a little while.. you should be a to pin point where it’s coming from..
Wash the engine with water or brake cleaner. Open the hood, run the engine, and see where it’s coming from. If I experience power loss I’d take it to a dealer immediately. Sometimes it could be a gasket, you lose a lot of oil but doesn’t affect performance. If that’s the case then I’d run with it for a while, finish the run and then go to a dealer.
Always idle your truck mid-high rpm, even in hot weather, for the sake of your turbo. What happens if you idle at low rpm is that the turbo will pulsate oil. My c15 is idled at 800 rpm to keep the oil circulation going. Any rpm below that will pulsate the oil and cause it to leak. The only trucks that I’ve seen that have sensor idle are tow trucks. Their rpms jump as soon as the parking brakes are set. Don’t know why our trucks don’t got that.
Its a o-ring. Half a hour of work by yourself. Since the line needs to be removed from turbo, gasket there should be replaced too. Nothing to do with idling.
no need to take off the line. just removing bolt is enough. The tube is flexible. I have done it many times on trucks.
