FCC--Fremont Contract Carriers

I have done just that with Central Pet and Garden in Madison GA. Turn into their driveway comes up too fast and end up driving 20 miles to find ANY turnaround.

My 34 or recap come at the same time. Around midnight. May not leave quite that early, but must make it to Council Bluffs, 633 miles tomorrow. No where else to really stay on I 29. The Pilot in Percival looks like waterfront property. Probably don't want to stay there! Truck maintenance Sat early then onto Broken Bow for my drop and hook, turn and burn back to Four Oaks. Just wish I could make it by Monday cutoff!

 

Oh, by the way, my trucking school buddy got on with Digby Southwest in Tucson. I am thinking thats Don Digbys company from Navajo Express in Denver. Still, glad they are giving him a shot!

I am on a load going to Safeway in Tracy, CA. Has anyone else at FCC been there? Is it as bad as a typical grocery warehouse?

No, it's not a broker load. It is a nice trip, even though I'll miss the pay cut off on it. Even if it is a long wait there I'll take the detention pay.

 

I was there probably 5 or 6 years ago. Doesn't look like it improved much, they're kind of slow. Just Google Safeway Distribution Center Tracy California. And you can read all about it.

 

Swung through the house for a 34, delivered in Four Oaks about 0900 this morning , grabbed a loaded trailer from Four Oaks going to Austell, Georgia for tomorrow, I’m scheduled to be home Wednesday for my scheduled home time, not sure what they will find to keep me busy until then.

 

Yep, did the Austell run last week from Four Oaks before going to Sumter on to Broken Bow now headed back to Four Oaks. Stopped in rest area near Mount Vernon IL.
