No truck should drive over 50 mph in heavy rain

    Period. I don't care if you think you're "comfortable" driving 65 in a thunderstorm. Comfortable is more like delusional.

    It's a real bad storm in the dfw area rn and I'm just seeing trucks drive at 65 mph.

    It really depends on the condition, traffic etc.
    Drive the speed you are comfortable with. Can’t fix stupid.

    If you are uncomfortable, the correct thing to do would be to get off the road.
    Everyone has their own comfort and skill / experience level. Yours is not mine and mine is not yours.
    But what's worse than someone driving too fast, is one that is driving too slowly. If you do not feel comfortable at 55 or greater, you probably need to get off the road. Because you now have become a moving hazard for everyone else.

    @shogun worked for the Mississippi Highway patrol hazardous roads division. They recommend only driving 35 and the have numerous studies to back it up.

    @snowman_w900 uses the kegel technique to keep safe on slick roads. You should try the kegel exercises so you are prepared too
