1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Depends on what you are looking for. Knight intermodal is hiring running la ports to phx. Marten is hiring for regional and otr out of phx. Dare I say JB will be hiring some dedicated account drivers in July (big new account). Check craigslist often, lots of stuff pops up on there weekly. It all depends on what you are qualified for, and what you want to do.

I've been looking around, there are quite a few possibilities ....... but if you have a stable job now, is the grass greener where you plan on moving?

I just spoke to a swift driver at the Gary Indiana terminal who is from Arizona and he hooked up with swift, got his CDL thru swift and he has 6 more months to go and then he can come back to arizona and get something local.

There is nothing in Phoenix, I have typed, called and talked till I'm blue in the face with nothing to show for it. I've got 16 yrs pulled everything but tanks, clean MVR and all, but because I have been local the last 3 1/2 yrs driving a mixer no one will touch me. Not sure what I'm gonna have to do, never thought it would be this tough in our profession.

I've had the same result. There are waiting lists of drivers trying to get a seat at some OTR companies here. I'm on the verge of leaving the state -but where to go? CA is in worse shape. Maybe head out east. I dunno.
