Jason, saw one of your trucks here at the J in Rice Hill Or. Nice shiny red Freightliner. Thought it might be you until I read the thread and seen where you are.

The weights got me. Not in the best of shape anymore. I think it maybe took 15 min. I was the only one in orientation so it went by lot faster. I was done around 10 on the 2nd day then had to wait til 4 for drug test to come back the driving test then got my 1st load that night at lozier. One of the easiest orientations ive been to.

Company drivers recently started being sent a fuel solution, I’m not up to speed how it works.

Yes, we get a fuel solution whenever we get a new load. It is a separate Qualcomm message stating whether it is a TA, Petro, Pilot, or J. Mostly TA and Petros, the interstate number, exit number, address and number of gallons to put in (145/fill). Reminds me of my TransAm days! If it fills before you get to 145, thats all you put in. No big deal. One less decision you gotta make is the way I see it.

Got empty in Plant City, Florida and bounced up to Alachua, Florida and picked up a preloaded trailer going to Omaha, but I dropped it at our drop yard in Fairburn, Georgia. No empties so I bobtailed to our other drop yard in Dalton and grabbed an empty. Went back to Calhoun and picked up a preloaded trailer going to Missouri.

Now here is where my dispatcher and the load planners came through for me. I have home time scheduled for this weekend, so to make that happen they are going to have me drop my trailer at a secure lot near St. Louis tomorrow, bobtail to Edwardsville, Illinois and pick up a preloaded trailer and bring it back to Georgia and then bounce home from there. Hats off to my dispatcher and the load planners.

Home for a 34 this time since I got home a day late. But Friday, come back out and pickup at Elizabethtown NC going to Anaheim CA. Wow! A coast to coast solo run. My first ever! Thinking back to Abilene days when Johnboy was training me and we would do Ft Mill SC to San Diego then back to Fort Mill and back again twice more between SC and Cali. But hey, Johnboy does these all the time!! Ah, good times!!

You’re a little behind on your reading. He’s no longer training.
