I’m pretty sure that’s old. I’m not sure what they start at. All I know is what I make, and it sure isn’t .39.

Yes, the pay for most is on the lower end of the spectrum. It depends on your experience, your bargaining ability etc. When I was OTR, my pay (with the exact same amount of tenure here) was .42cpm. I do not have the years of experience that JB has. I only had 6 months when I came here. With that being said, I’ve had things happen where I needed to be home for long (like 6 months out of the year-1 or 2 months at a time) periods of time and they have worked with me. They still work with me as a local driver. I guess what I’m trying to say is...money isn’t the only thing I look for. It does help though! I’m not independently wealthy!

Every company has its good and bad. Compare and decide if you can work with it...

    Loading and unloading trailer's

Prime... There is times that you will have to unload the truck... I think specially if your hauling a reefer trailer full of flowers.

Abilene... We don't load or unload trailer.

    Take the truck home policy
Prime.. You take the truck to there "designated drop yard" during home time even if it's 30 or 50 miles from your home.

Abilene... You take the truck home!

Note: Please don't misinterpret my writing.. Prime is a good company like Abilene!... but what is it that your looking for in a company?

    Hope that helps! ;)
