I’m quitting the company I just signed up to and they mentioned something about stopping my truck registration. I paid for my own irp plates can they do something to that extent? Or mess anything up with my paperwork? I have my own insurance (bobtail and my own plates)
If you have your own plates and insurance- I would say no. Alot of lease drivers get plates through the company, so that's probably what they were talking about, stopping the registration thinking that they were getting it for you.
Sorry but when they shut off your 1,000,000 truck insur, you can be poped for no insur. on your truck so its best to have new lease and insur, changed over to new co. before changing (Quiting) CO. and it only costs a buck to change co. thats responce able for safety on your IRP tag
If he has bobtail insurance in his name and his own tags, he can roll on out. At least what I buy , you can. I want to say it is called non trucking liability.
