Hi, I'm a 38 year old felonious female who's very interested in acquiring a CDL, but I don't qualify for grants, and would like to just enroll with a trucking company that offers free schooling. But the problem is, my felony (menacing) is only a little over a year old, and I haven't worked in a long time. Are there any trucking companies out there that don't care about my felony or lack of work history, who will provide training and all the things? I have a clean driving record, no DUI or anything like that, but my criminal record is horrendous. I'm a bit of an angry person, so I have a ton of misdemeanors and that one felony, but surely there's a trucking company that won't care??? I'm very smart, good at everything I try, I won't care about a contract, and I'll probably become very valuable if given a chance. I know how the industry works, as my dad drove for 30 years, hauling me along often. Any ideas??

Wrong buisness for somebody with arrest records involving anger management issues, nothing personal but there is 13 things a day that will make you want to hit somebody.

No, its not going to work for you. Certain felonies have to be at least 5 to 7 years old. Trucking is the most regulated industry out there. Its just not gonna happen for you.

Well the question is what is the felony? Some companies will take into consideration. Some are just straight up disqualifiers. Anger issues....mmmmm that will be tested daily. Other drivers, shippers and receivers, deadlines, the list goes on and on. You have a bunch of misdemeanors that you mentioned too. None of these companies have time to send you home every time you use poor judgment. You may have to stay out if trouble for some years. I wont say its impossible, but it's going to be tough

Try www.cfidrive.com which has their own cdl school and is female friendly.

Also try this school; some companies will pay the tuition, such as Stevens Transport.
You may not need any money here and might even get meals & lodging free.

Your addresses need to match. If you use your Colorado drivers license then use the same address on your job application.
Be prepared for a hair follicle drug test also.
