We are in need of OVERSIZE permits...we have been researching and we got a permit through Webcat, we got an "Virginia Overload Permit" 5%, and it was $20.
we have many questions, is this for overweight or oversized load? in the sticker it only says "overload". so, we are pretty confused now.

    TIA

An oversized permit will specify what dimensions you are allowed. You have a permit to go overweight a little bit.

My permit dept. tells me that the $20 VA permit covers both OS/OW.

Edit: well not according to the guy above me so maybe my permit dept. is asleep at the wheel right now.

That's the info I got from the VA website but I've never seen the permit or what it actually states so I could be wrong.

They also say it's 250 bucks.

But if it covers oversize conditions it should state the sizes it covers.

The Virginia annual covers up to
You just gotta read the permit and whatever it’s limits are vs what you asked for from webcat

X2 Some states are a little tricky to read, but if you're holding a VA permit, they are very straightforward. The second box from the top after your company name and truck ID tells you what the permitted dims, gross weight, axle weights and spacings are and your requirements in order to move (pole, signs, flags, etc)

Having used to live in va the permit that you have is for trucks being loaded in a field and allowing you to add a extra 5% over legal weight incase you put to much on the truck and depending upon the oversized load you need to haul you might be able to get a annual permit if not you will need a trip permit
