You can transfer if there are openings but you go to the bottom of the seniority list.

How do you know if a terminal has a "red circle" rate, what it is, & is there a map of them?

Does this mean all the drivers are "guaranteed" a certain amount of hours of work for the day?

What determines if drivers are "on call" or getting overtime for not driving?

If a terminal runs any contractors they are a red circle terminal. If your at a red circle terminal if you don't drive you can work the dock for 8 hours at 37.60 an hour. I'm not sure how to find out of a certain terminal is a red circle terminal but if it's a bigger terminal it more than likely is.

So as a new hire at a red circle terminal, you would likely not get many hours at all because everyone would be wanting the overtime?

If you are hired on when terminal is red circle, (like the ones I NE hiring at top rate) do you keep that rate even if terminal becomes a non red circle before you actually top out your 4yr progression/you transfer to a non red circle terminal?

Does red circle automatically mean top rate or could it be any of the rates higher then standard contract starting wage?

Sidenote - what is the "seniority" wage progression listed in between starting rate & 1yr rate?

Apologies for so many questions, have an interview with UPSF (along with FxF & Air Products) next week & want to be prepared with some of the lesser known (to me) things.

Note: i'm not real clear on all this myself, but i need to learn (will confer with steward asap):

    1) Not necessarily--- a lot of drivers only want 8-9-10 hours and they're done for the day. REally depends on terminal/luck etc.

    2) Not sure
    3) not sure
    4) not sure.
