Eld caused onboard computer problems

    Has anybody had automatic transmission problems or computer problems related to the use of a ELD sending unit? Our transmission got "stuck" and we could not move and had to end up getting towed and we suspect it was the ELD unit

    That can happen.
    Is it a ELD in the diagnostic port or hardwired in the trucks electrics?

    What makes you suspect that? Trucks have problems with the amts all the time, is there a specific reason to blame it on the eld or do you just hate elds and want to blame it?

    I had problems with scangauge plugged into the port.

    Never had a problem with rand plugged in on that same truck


    Threw scangauge away.

    It might be new government mandated regulations...
    If you’re out of hrs you’re truck won’t go in gear...
    I probably shouldn’t have said that because now the government is going to see it...

    Well just unplug ELD and back up logs with paper.
    PS I don't like ELog but that's just a rumor.
