Driving is a privilege, not a right. Inconsiderate ####s who can't slow down or move over should get their license pulled for a few months. There's no excuse to hit a tow truck or operator.
More times than not if a cop is on the shoulder the morons will move over. That is, after they slam on the brakes and drop down to 55mph bout causing a pileup in the left lane.
Can't blame the phones. Scott's Law came into effect before the smart phones and texting. No one should have to tell anyone to move over for emergency vehicles. But apparently, they have had to make it Law in many places. Want a solution? Make the penalty severe. Get caught not moving over, big fine and loss of driving privileges for life. Kill someone in an emergency vehicle, call the coroner and the magistrate out and execute the offender on the side of the road, then notify family to come get their trash. Harsh, right? Guarantee this stuff wouldn't happen as frequently. Lot's of you 4 wheel idiots drive along the bigroad like you're a slalom skier, cutting trucks off and seeing how close you can get to vehicles on the sides of the road without hitting. This is how you guys habitually drive. If you mess up, it should changes your life. You should never be given a second chance to be Stupid.
It's almost to the point that tow truck operators need 'cover' Don't go alone, have a police vehicle or Road Ranger with BIG Flashing ARROW!!! ..and even sometimes that is not enough = Sad!
Yeah, that's a bit harsh. I believe dictators tried filtering out the undesirables with no luck. Rather than try to change a million peoples habits, which they can't really be blamed for, people in these work situations have to take the 1st step. Complaining about 4 wheelers habits won't bring this poor guy back, but I bet dollars to donuts, anyone that does this for a living, got a rude wakeup call. And for the record, do you see how some of these rollback cowboys drive? Not much better.
No need to change any habits when you remove their privileges or them. No second chance or resets like in the video games. Same goes for DUI offenders. Easy peasy. Everyone speaks of outrage and sorrow. As soon as you mention harsher penalties, everyone loses their spine. And the carnage continues. Enjoy your carnage.
I can't ####ing stand people like that. Yes by all means know and excercise your rights but there are rules and laws for a reason. I'm sure he'll be in for a VERY rude awakening if he ever causes a major crash. The lawyers would mop the courtroom floor with him.
Did you see the post about the guy running 97 in a 70? His excuse was an upset stomach. I would have ran in the woods before running that fast on a highway.
