I've got a paper permit from IN and Prime was fine with that. Will be dealing with the DMV on Tuesday and I'll post what I find out. My big question is whether to get my haz/mat endorsement this week in MO or wait until I transfer it in IN. I'm ready for the test, but I know there's a waiting period for background and fingerprints. Already went through that for my TWIC, but I hear the state requires their own. Guess we'll see Tuesday!

I see a lot of great things here about prime, but not much about drivers with 6-12 months otr, been from NY to FL to TX an Nebraska been thru the gap too many times. not a pro by any means. Would really like to drive with prime but sure would like to hear more about what to xpect with some experience. TIA great thread!!

That's because Prime's policy seems to change weekly. You'll probably get the best, up to date info from a recruiter.

As far as I know Haz-Mat endorsements do not transfer state to state. If you got it in MO this week, you'd have to redo it all when you transfer back to your home state.

Hey emton, have you gotten home any since you started your training?

Can't speak for Emton, but he can if he wants...

    - Need to arrange it with your FM and trainer.
    - You don't get paid for TAH.
    - You're trainer may move on, so you may acquire a new one.
    - May take awhile to get your trainer routed to where he can pick you up.
    - May involve another pleasurable experience on the grey dog.
    - Extends the length of time it takes to get out of training.

I stopped by the house twice while we were going through, once overnight. Didn't plan on it or need to but it was a nice gesture on my trainer's part. Home now waiting on my trainer to get routed through here and pick me up for the next phase. Did my test and got my CDL yesterday.

Thanks U2Exit and ironpony for being so informative on Prime. I am currently in the process of doing research for Prime because I want to do a career change in the next few months. Thanks again.
