speedometer only works randomly. Replaced the sensor and replaced speedometer box. same thing all the gauges work but speedometer. Any thoughts?
try the NUT that holds the yoke on, on the back of the transmission. had an 88 & a 99 i once owned do the same dang thing. did like u replacing sensors, speedo box, etc; & after all the expense, come to find out it was that dang NUT, go figure
That is very true. The nut on the transmission yoke may be loose enough to let the tone wheel slip. If it is then the speedo will come and go check that nut first and see if it got loose and see also if you can spin the tone wheel. It shouldn't move and should be tight for everything to work properly with the speedo.
