I am within about 40 hours of completing my training time with my mentor and I have driven about 70% of the last 14000 miles (after the first week or so, we have been running as a team, but getting shorter than desired runs).

Any advice from the peanut gallery on the testing process?

They give you a short written test at the end. One of the questions is on trip planning. They give you a load that only a team could complete, so watch out for that.
Keep practicing your backing, especially between trucks at a truck stop, generally the tighest spot you'll have to back into as a truck driver. Especially at some Pilot's, the Loves lanes are wider, I think.
