How do companies check to see how many licenses you've had in the last three years?

My guess would be you tell them up front. The reason being if you have had multiple licenses, and one of them has violations on it, and they find out, you're in deep doo doo.

they will do a data search.......also you HAVE to list all drivers licenses you've held for 3 years....if you had one in a different state you are supposed to list it......if you don't and they do a search and turn it up forget about driving for them

As Nic stated they have access to a data base and can retreve that information and records. What some people do not know is that these are subsciber based services like DAC or Hireright & they are given the ability to make comments.

If you have moved during the past three years and changed license state it usually shows on the abstract from DAC.

Sometimes it shows the other state and license number so you know to run it too.

Some states carry over the past few years from the other state and list it under the new license....

FMCSR requires the carrier to run every license you've held during the past three years.
