Background Checks :?

Well, out of a handful of places I've applied (SWIFT, Knight, etc)...I received my first "denial letter" today from a somewhat smaller local company. What are they looking for? Do the other companies like SWIFT and Knight do their background checks later on or? Thanks!

 

what is on your background check that may have caused that ? i am not saying thats what it is, but you seem to be implying you think thats why......

 

Question really is.....is there anything that they could've found..... But really , they look for felonies , any domestic violence charges , DUI's/DWI's , any drug /gang related charges . lots of things. Bad work history , No work history.....pretty long list of stuff I would imagine.

Maybe it isn't your background...maybe they have better applicants.

 

Yeah it's like the other guys have said. When you are thinking about that most companies look to why the "shouldn't" hire you because that is what an attorney would do if something happens. Just hang in there somebody will hire you!

 

To name two...Not as a driver, but I've worked for FEDEX and UPS in the last few years (passed their background checks). And I've already been offered a training seat in at least (2) companies, so I'm not too worried about getting hired...I'm just wondering if they check credit...minor misdemeanors that may or may not have made it onto the application, etc.

they do check credit which i think is BULL....but you sign an agreement giving them permission to do so when you fill out your app (in most cases )
