beards

do the trucking industry care if you have a beard? cause i have a beard and i don't wanna cut it off .. i refuse too.. lol

 

depednignd on the company some require clean shaven. esp during the hiring method.
how long is your beard? some may have you trim it.

 

There may be a few companies that have some kind of policy, but I'm pretty sure most don't. I have a beard because it's just easier not to shave while out on the road.

 

Only time I could see it being a problem is if your hauling chemicals. When I was leased on to Chemical Leaman you couldnt have one due to the fact you might have to wear a mask in the event of a chemical spill. I suppose if its long enough to pull over your mouth and nose if you had to they might make an exception.

 

my beard is pretty thick.. i am muslim so is just part of my religion to keep my beard ..

 

ok when you are applying be sure to emphasize it is for your religion. they will make accommodations for that

 

As long as it isn't dyed pink, you should be ok...

 

I have one more question, okay i am middle eastern from Yemen. but i am in phx,az... is there a lot of immigrants out there otr driving from the middle east or Europe, africans.?..?? i heard theres some but not to much out west...

If it is we can just send him a few hundred miles west into your state and he will fit right in ...
