i was talking yesterday with father about old family trucks and he says that first cabover in familly was mb1632 he bought it in 1976 first familly truck was MB LK312 in 1954 and last conventional was man 13230 sold in 1980
So i did some digging and found the companies website. Sent an e-mail and got a reply. Figured i'd share. "It actually is a brokers truck and this gentleman owns 4 scania s. We have 2 on the road all the time. His name is julliaan W. and his phone nr is xxxxxxxxxx feel free to call him for any info and he d be glad to chat with you. Thanks for your email very nice to hear good comments about that. We also have our own shop in woodstock where we maintain and restore trucks. If you would like more info feel free to call us."
probably craziest thing ever about engine concept was man-bussing unterflur this is engine placed in mid position between axles horizontally placed so floor in cab was flat truck had very quite ride low center of gravity good weight distribution when empty but they were offered only on longer wheelbase rigid trucks it is presented in 1989 truck had front wheel drive with same chassis height as road truck disc brakes on front axle retarder 2.3m standing height inside very strong engine in his class 16speed automated gearbox full air suspension lot of interior equipment truck had fax , printer come cameras for reverse and some things i dont remember anymore usually unterflur trucks (rigid) have engine on right side and flywheel towards back this one have engine on left side flywheel toward front , than gearbox , than special pair of gears which rotate driveshaft rotation than transfer gear than front and rear differential
there was two variants of unterflur semitrucks, the ones in your pictures had a wheelbase of 3,5m acording to http://www.baumaschinenbilder.de/fo...9&threadview=0&hilight=&hilightuser=0&page=94 the second variant had the flywheel towards the rearaxle and the wheelbase of 3,8-3,9m acording to my eyes also there was a german firm who made unterflur semitrucks based on f2000 model http://hentschel-fahrzeugbau.de/produkte.html
as much i know when they test tgs440 hydrodrive vs 19422 uxt 4x4 they says that uxt was 3.8m wheelbase (LAO) and engine was put flywheel forwards i know for them nice things i wonder why no one try to update f90 to fe2000 look
it is 50hp stronger than normal there is about 1200 000 on clock recently get new paint new stripes and some other things it used to have high bumper before also recently new clutch and gearbox is completely done because bad driver destroy it ....truck was now sold before it was used to overnight express on hill roads they get very good average speed (350km of hill road for 5hours) this was before
