good eye it is LP with NG cab since there is AP probably it is younger model somewhere from 1970+ or maybe someone change it as well
famous magazine Lastauto omnibus with fernfahrer magazine made comparison between trucks on market scania, man, daf, volvo, renault magnum vs new actros of course actros win scania was very close third volvo than man than daf than renault they didnt take iveco probably it falls apart before... they say actros have fastest gearbox scania best ranering and maneuvering , volvo good in everything, renault little bit weird and as tronic on man and daf little behind they say that mercedes handling is improved but not as good as scania have but will be interesting to see this things when volvo put new model on market with independent suspension
yes ,it looks like new volvo fh will be the first on highway mass production truck with indipendent front suspension a new trend in the truckmaking probably
Do you who made it volvo, zf or maybe someone else? I am not sure does it will be so popular here it will be more expensive and bad roads will require lot of maintanance Do you know what is with gigant era i have never seen one trailer with it...
Bad handling of the Volvo will be even worse. If they cant get even simple solid axle working why go more complicated? Finnish tank truck manufacturer Holming tried it in the 80s, it was a disaster. Seems to work in buses, don't know what's the difference? Self bearing bodystructure? Smaller changes in gross weight?
who knows what 19years of development from first fh can bring well buses also have similar weight differences like trucks what is empty weight of your truck on front axle ? it is not less than 5.2t for sure max loaded it will never cross 7t in most of cases you will have 6.5t look at this trailer from 1963 with independent suspension on air bags kassbohrer made owner wants 3200 for it
look this Volvo develops the world's first truck driver ejector seat! http://www.commercialmotor.com/big-...-biglorryblog-has-the-spy-picture-to-prove-it
not so sure if we take in worst case tractor as 18t gross lets say it is 7.5t empty so it is 10.5t on 5th wheel you have 3700mm wheelbase? and 660mm 5th wheel position from drive axle? in this case this bring 1873kg on front axle lets say truck is 5200kg on front axle this is 7073kg
I think it's more than 8t when 1200 liter tanks are full and 13 tons on drive axle is quite normal when pulling a heavy side open reefer.
