No you will be good if it is 3 years old. You should easily get into a driver mill for training. I am under the impression you have no speeding tickets etc. Is your record clear other than the careless driving? Do you have any misdemeanors or felonies?

It depends on the company, careless is bad news to some and those companies will treat you like a reckless, and go for 5 years, many companies consider the circumstances on the other side of that coin.

Previous poster said 3 years, that's about right and if clean since then, you should be good with any of the driver training companies on your MVR.

I would like to know how you get a "carless" driving conviction? Doesn't driving require some sort of motor vehicle?

to anwser jphill3426 since the careless driving none but before i ran a stop sign and got nailed for doing 15 over and two accidents one my fault and the other one not my fault but both of thouse accidents happened back in 2005. And I do not have any misdemeanors or felonies. But i due realise that on some instances the ball is not in my side of the court.

order up a copy of your DMV record and see what shows up. so start from there before you do anything else.

some states, things drop off your record if a period of 3 years goes by, some states 5 years has to go by. everything STAYS on your record, but the last 3 or so would be what shows up in an "ordinary DMV check" by a company, unless they order a full report, which honestly, i haven't really seen or heard that happen.
