Cast Transportation

Anyone have any information about Cast Transportation, Denver Co.?

Their safety director seems to be flakey about returning phone calls.

 

CAST is very picky about drivers, they may be flakey sounding, but they have a very low turnover and pay pretty good. Keep in mind they haul Nuke waste so they are very pickey about who they hire, pretty sure you have to live in the Denver area to get hired with them.

 

I drive for CAST and live in Vegas. We have terminals in Denver, Vegas, Richland Washington and Kingston, Tennessee. I've been with them for a little more than a year and like the company. Just Google CAST Transportation to get the web site.

 

I worked for Cast for a month, and it was the worst company I've ever worked for! The dispatcher does not care about you! I hired on as a local driver but i was gone more than some of the OTR guys. If you want to work for them think twice about it....

 

Worked for Cast for 2 years. They treated me right the whole time. If you want to drive for a good reputable CO to go on your resume this is it. They only use KW and Petes and are on top of there maintenance cause they have to keep their numbers up so they can get more contracts but you as a driver got to let them know when #### is wrong, they'll fix it. Safety is a big key there so they never push you to run illegally. Pay is very good for a company driver you act more like a owner operator as a driver cause you deal with the brokers once they get the load. They never #####ed at me or was on my ### when I was on a load. If you like OTR flatbed it's the company for you. I left them on good terms. I wanted go local and flatbed local here is very up and down so I went a different route. My exp if I went back OTR I would go back in a heartbeat.

Hey kenworthdriver let's get facts right. A proffesional driver is NEVER made to do anything. If you drover with a problem you that's on you. Also I can almost with 100% confidiance say you did not report it to safety or you just ran with it and now change your story. Also as an Otr driver for cast I assure you that in two months you did not stay out more than 95% of the otr drivers. Anyways I make great money here work is easy to me for the money. Most runs for me are 2000+ one way this run I am on is 3200 miles one way at .45cpm + extras. Yes we haul rad and kinda picky but that's why. I will say 7 out of 10 drivers can't qualify to work here. Anyways want great job try and apply. Good luck.

 

Yes you guys are right about, cast transportation the safety guy kent statham, its very spuky I wouldn't recomend anybody to work for cast transportation it's the worse trucking company, kent likes to black ball the drivers when somebody calls for reference he's not a good person at all.

 

C.A.S.T. is a joke of a company. The owner walks around like everyone should know him butt never introduces himself or gets introduced. The safety officer is worthless. He's more like a H.R... Dispatch, well they are dispatch. One good one bad and one could be. They have high turnover rate and fight the unemployment insurance when they fire someone. Apex is a whole lot better and no I don't work for them.
