I’m in a tough situation. The company sent all my info off for review and the recruiter told me they take criminal backgrounds after 7 years which mine was. After I completed my school and got into the trainers truck their safety department let me go due to my criminal background not being 10 years old. So now I’m left paying over $7000 on the loan for my school and can’t get my certificate of completion till I pay off the loan. What can I do? Shouldn’t the company still be obligated to pay the loan cause it was miscommunication between safety and the recruitment department?
That's so weak. Recruiter probably got his bonus though. So do you have a CDL or no? And if not, how long were you supposed to wait for it?
Which company is this? Where is your location; state and town/city? Some companies will hire you anyway, so give us you location and we'll help you get rolling.
Did you go to the company school or a private school. Which company did this to you? If it was company sponsored training, you need to have a talk with one of the higher ups with the company and straighten it out. Doesn't sound right to me.
First of all, if you were on a trainers truck two things are true! First, you went through orientation and were hired! This is all taken care of during those days! If your criminal background check came back dirty YOU NEVER would have been officially hired! Next point, I don't think you will be on a trainers truck without a CDL. I don't know what you are attempting to do here, but take that CDL and go find a carrier that will hire you!
If he went to a C1 school through Driver Solutions and then went to PAM he would have done the trainer's truck before orientation.
