Hi all! I've done a lot of reading here, and I appreciate all the advice, stories and opinions shared here. Today I passed my CDL drive test, and have a bright, shiny license! (well, a piece of paper!) Thanks to you folks who shared trials and tribulations, making me ask myself whether this is the way to go. Today, I stop crawling, and start my baby steps in a new field. Tom
Thanks, all! (Now, the hard part: picking a company! I've weeded out most of p.o.ed chip on the shoulder critiques, this field is so vast, what some think is a job from hell, others find it a money making cakewalk! Have to figure where I fit in. At 55, probably won't be tarping a f/b in a Montana winter!)
Let us know what you come up with. Do you have a list of companies you have narrowed it down to. There is a ton of info out there on different places to work. I have been reading this site for a while now and it is very hard for me to come up with even a few that I think are the best. Keep us posted and good luck on getting with the right company.
