I recently tried to register with ch Robinson and they denied my carrier application on the basis that the industry has too much fraudulent activity going on. When I asked if there is anything that can be done to bring me on board. They said the answer is indefinite and cannot onboard me. Has anyone experienced this or has insight on this?
Don't feel like you're losing anything. Junk freight, and with a year + authority you have many better options
Don't know. Don't work for them. I know that that is the most common reason for brokerages to toss that up. They may also be on a pause right now. I know they were getting some tech stuff up to speed, too.
Do you have any tractor and/or trailer inspections on your authority? If you don't, that might be what is causing the issue. Not having inspections (or very few inspections) is one of the signs an MC might actually be a fraudulent broker posing as an asset carrier.
CH Robinson sucks always but they really suck right now in the down market. I ran a lot of freight with them earlier on but I never run for them anymore. Their loads are a joke and their rates are a sick joke. Look for small brokerages with good credit scores and payment history. Those are your brand as a newer carrier.
